A few weeks ago I was watching Triple D on FN and saw something I’d never heard of before: Popovers.  How had I gone 38 years and never had a popover!?  They looked amazing.  I mean, I’d had Boston baby’s and they were good…and the popover recipe seemed similar.  I just had to give the Foreign and Domestic Popovers a try.

I did make some modifications to the recipe,  instead of Gruyère (none on hand) I used Swiss, and  I went wild on the black pepper (at least wild compared to the 1/2 teaspoon called for in the recipe).  The results…spectacular!  A new breakfast favorite.
