Tonight’s Irish dinner: a traditional soup of questionable items from the refrigerator, freezer, and cellar, all left over from the depths of snow and darkness of winter.
- Carrots and celery which may predate the fridge
- potatoes from some time before memory
- and ham that I don’t remember putting in the freezer at all
- Onions too. They’re not questionable. They’re from last fall’s garden
- Water, straight from the tap
